Upcoming QuickTime X to export any supported video directly to YouTube AppleInsider culls more info on privately released copies of Mac OS X 10.6 and QuickTime X. The report offers a glimpse at an export feature in Apple’s QuickTime player. The feature allows users to directly send videos to YouTube. It’s also expected to export directly to Apple’s MobileMe service. According to the site, users will be able to load a supported video into the QuickTime Player, and then export to YouTube via a login window. Users enter their YouTube login/password, and QuickTime Player takes it from there. The software reportedly compresses video optimized for YouTube, presumably the MPEG-4 H.264 uber standard. The move my Apple is a further integration of its products with the popular YouTube video sharing service, and should save even power users some time. For the armchair video uploader, it will certainly make the process a snap. QuickTime X, a part of Mac OS X 10.6, are expected to be available later this summer. AppleInsider
