The GefenTV Wireless VGA Extender products, as one might guess, extends video signals wirelessly between endpoints. The devices transmit video signals over Wi-Fi channels, allowing them to go through walls and obstructions. The originator box just connects to the video source, with the receiver connecting to the display.

The devices are ideal for presentations without running cables. It would also make a good addition to an entertainment system, perhaps linking an HDTV to a computer. The devices can transmit signals up to 1280x1024 and 1080i.

The device supports inputs for composite and S-Video, Y/Pb/Pr, and VGA. Video outputs include Y/Pb/Pr and VGA. The extenders also send analog two-channel audio along with the video.

The product comes in two flavors, an LR that send up to 100 feet, and an SR that goes up to 30 feet. The LR is for long range, SR for appropriately named short range. Gefen says the devices do not require line-of-sight. The LR retails for $599, and the SR for $499.
