Valve announced Wednesday it plans to expand its Steam marketplace beyond games. Steam came to the Mac in 2010 as a way to purchase, install, and update games both from Valve and other vendors. This venture looks to expand beyond just games into other software, similar to Apple's Mac App Store.
The expansion is slated for September 5th and will include both Mac and PC titles.
