As expected, big sales for the new iPhone. Five million units puts it one million more than last year for the iPhone 4S. Two million of those iPhone 5 sales went towards the initial pre-orders during the first 24 hours.
Apple also announced that over 100 million devices have upgraded to iOS 6 since its release last week.
The iPhone 5 launched in five countries Friday, and will expand to 22 additional this week.
