One complaint of the 3rd Gen iPad was the charging time. The latest iPad has a large 42.5 watt-hour battery, which can take some time to fully charge with the conventional 10 watt AC adapter. Tuesday Apple released a new 12 watt adapter that should trim charging times. The adapter is simply a power plug, so it can be used with other Apple devices using the USB cable. Presumably this will come with the new 4th Gen iPad, but older iPad owners might find it worth their time.
The new power adapter can be purchased separately for $19.
