Newer Technology's miniStack got an update this week along with Apple's Mac mini. The updated storage system can now be equipped with a SSD drive. The enclosure also includes USB 3.0.
All together, the external enclosure has FireWire 800, FireWire 400 USB 3.0/2.0 and eSATA. It can be configured for a bare enclosure for a DIY kit, up to 4 TB of HDD storage, or 960 GB SSD.
The miniStack is designed sit under the Mac mini and compliment its design.
With a choice of SSD and HDD pre-configured solutions with up to 4TB of capacity, as well as two ‘add your own drive’ enclosure only kits, the Newer Technology miniStack is immediately available from retailers and Newer Technology’s exclusive distributor, Other World Computing (OWC) starting from as low as $84.99.
