Newer Technology's miniStack got an update this week along with Apple's Mac mini. The updated storage system can now be equipped with a SSD drive. The enclosure also includes USB 3.0. All together, the external enclosure has FireWire 800, FireWire 400 USB 3.0/2.0 and eSATA. It can be configured for a bare enclosure for a DIY kit, up to 4 TB of HDD storage, or 960 GB SSD. The miniStack is designed sit under the Mac mini and compliment its design.
