At midnight PST Apple began taking orders for the new iPad mini and 4th Generation iPad. About 30 minutes after reopening the online store, the white model saw deliver estimates get pushed back two weeks, while the black WiFi continues to promise a launch day deliver as of Friday morning.
The iPad mini is to be available November 2nd.
The LTE model is expected to ship two-three weeks later, and simply says Mid November ship times. Same story on the iPad 4, which interestingly shows a similar delay for the LTE model.
Along with the iPad mini, Apple also started shipping new Smart Covers for the smaller iPad. Apple offers only plastic covers in an assortment of colors for $39.
