Other World Computing announced a 480 GB upgrade for Apple's just announced 13-inch MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display. The Aura Pro is a 6G storage solution delivering up to 500 MB/second performance. The upgrade is offered as an alternative to Apple's stock and build-to-order options for the latest MacBook Pro. There is some savings to be found over Apple's $800 512 GB upgrade, but it might be best suited for those looking to boost storage after purchase. Plus the old SSD blade can be repurposed in OWC's Envoy Pro, which is an external USB 3.0 enclosure. The 480 GB upgrade sells for $579.99 and includes required tools. It's available now, and OWC's Envoy Pro is expected to ship in December. Other World Computing
